1. Starter Pokémon — Which to Pick?

All three starters come with max IVs. The ones you skip can later be caught in a friend's world, so no permanent regrets.

StarterTypePlaystyleBest For
Fire Spark (火花) Fire High burst damage. Shreds early-game Grass-types. Fastest map clear. New players — smoothest PvE experience
Water Blue (水蓝蓝) Water Strong sustain + low energy cost. Can surf on water post-evolution. Patient players, PvP aspirants
Grass Meow (喵喵) Grass Self-heal, high durability, very forgiving of mistakes. Casual / nostalgia fans
TL;DR: If you're brand-new, pick Spark. The early game is packed with Grass-types, and Spark's fire damage tears through them.

2. Speed-Leveling to Lv.30 — The Golden 48 Hours

2.1 Main Quest + Magic Handbook

Rush the main questline. The moment the Magic Handbook (魔法手册) unlocks, complete every course inside — this is the single largest source of early XP.

Warning: Chapter 2 requires a friend who has been on your list for 5+ hours before you can enter their home world. Add as many friends as possible the instant you log in!

2.2 Pokédex = XP Printer

Catching new species is one of the fastest ways to level up:

ActionXP Earned
Catch a new species+100 XP
Catch an "Amazing Talent" (top-IV) specimen+100 bonus XP
Evolve that same Pokémon+600 bonus XP
Max per Pokémon800 XP

2.3 Stamina Efficiency

3. Free Resource Route — Do This ASAP

This sequence nets you 990k Roco Bucks + 4 King Balls without spending a cent.

#LocationActionReward
1 Coastal Ruins (海滨遗迹) Enter the dungeon → loot ancient coins from the ground. Repeatable, no combat needed. Worn Ancient Coins
2 Coco Square — Coin Machine Choose Drawer #1 120 Coco Fruits
3 Peter Avenue — Coin Machine Choose Drawer #3 990,000 Roco Bucks
4 Kingdom Castle — Coin Machine Open the drawer 4 King Balls (guaranteed catch — save for high-star legendaries!)
Pro tip: A quest asks you to spend 1 million Roco Bucks. Don't panic — the Peter Avenue machine gives you 990k for free, and quest rewards cover the rest.

4. Essential Map-Travel Pets

The open world is large. These pets unlock traversal abilities:

PetAbilityHow to Obtain
Duckie (鸭吉吉) Water mount — cross rivers & lakes Main quest in starter village (mandatory catch)
Winterwing / Stormbird (冬羽雀) Flying mount — aerial exploration Given at game start; evolves at Lv.30
Sonic Hound (音速犬) Fastest land mount in the game Catch on the west slope of Shop Street
Gentleman Chicken (绅士鸡) Triple-jump + immunity to fall damage Use Light-Capture Ball at Dawn Mountain (晨曦山)

5. Team Building

Early Game (Lv.1–20)

Recommended lineup: Spark + Dimo (迪莫) + Winterwing + Duckie + Chilifa

Don't sleep on Dimo. He was massively buffed for the official release and is given via main quest. He's a genuine powerhouse now.

Mid Game (Lv.30+) — Three Strong Options

Fire Burst (best for PvE pushing):
Blaze (Spark evo) + Burnworm (燃薪虫) + Emerald Lady (翠顶夫人)
→ Raw damage output. Melts story stages.

Water Sustain (dungeon infinite):
Aqua (Blue evo) + Roin / Luo Yin (罗隐) + Emerald Lady (翠顶夫人)
→ Roin's lifesteal + energy regen = never-ending sustain in dungeons.

Poison DOT ("cheese" strategy):
Dudu Pot (嘟嘟锅) → level it till it learns Poison Mist (毒雾).
→ Converts boss buffs into lethal poison. One-shots high-difficulty legendaries.

6. Common Mistakes to Avoid

MistakeWhy It Hurts
Randomly spending Roco Bucks Save them for key purchases beyond the mandatory quest spend
Spreading resources evenly across all pets Pour everything into your starter, Dimo, and one main DPS
Forcing catches on pets 10+ levels above you Pets with a level gap ≥10 will disobey in battle — unless you used a King Ball
Skipping the tutorial It gives exclusive rewards you cannot get anywhere else
Gathering without "Love to Share" trait pets Their bonus stacks — more yield per gather action
Not adding friends on day one The 5-hour friend timer gates Chapter 2 progression

7. Day-1 Action Checklist

One-sentence summary: The entire early game is: add friends → pick Spark → rush main quest → loot coins → open machines → fill Pokédex → get Roin.
